Monique Edwards was born in Maine, and grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She began acting on stage while in high school and several years after graduating she moved to Los Angeles, where she began working in daytime television. Most recently Monique Guest Starred in CBS's "How I Met Your Mother", CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and "Without A Trace". Prior to that she Guest Starred as "Teena Davis" in Steven Bochco's "Philly". She has also guest starred on "Boston Public's", Peabody award-winning episode "Chapter Thirty-Seven", "Friends" , "Everybody Loves Raymond", "Judging Amy, "The Division", "Strong Medicine" and "The X-Files" . Monique first became known in her Guest Starring role as Nurse Laurel Canyon on the critically-acclaimed "Chicago Hope".

Monique's film credits include "All Over Again", "October 22nd", "Melting Pot", "The Secret of the Horse" and "Kinfolks".

Her stage credits include "Riga", "Wildlife", "A Thimble of Smoke", "1-800-Call-God" and "The Emerald Society" for which she was nominated for an A.D.A. award for Best Supporting Actress.
